Igreja das Eiras
A Igreja das Eiras começa por ser uma casa paroquial, construída com o decreto de D. Dinis separada da Igreja matriz do Caniço, sendo ela destacada, foi constituída sede da Paróquia.
Antigamente era numa casa ao lado da actual Igreja com o padre Agostinho.
A zona de baixo (salão) da Igreja foi mandada construir pelo padre Agostinho e depois deu avanço a esta Igreja.
Mais tarde, foi construída por cima do salão por volta de 2002/2003.
Esta construção teve três fases, por assim dizer.
A atual Igreja das Eiras apresenta um estilo moderno (contemporâneo).
O nome Nossa Senhora da Paz foi atribuído por uma mera escolha.
Realizam-se celebrações quer ao sábado quer ao domingo.
The Church of Eiras
started off as a parish house,. It was constructed with the decree of D. Dinis. Separated from the mother Church of Caniço, it had being highlighted and was constituted the headquarters of the parish. It was formerly a house next to the current Church with Father Augustine. The area of low (Lounge) of the Church was ordered to built by Father Augustine and then gave forward to this Church. It was built on top of the lounge around 2002/2003.
This construction had three phases.
The current church of Eiras has a modern style (contemporary). The name of Our Lady of Peace has been assigned by a mere choice. Celebrations are held either on Saturday or Sunday.
